A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND THE CITY
CLERK AS SECRETARy OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, in Resolution Number 2 of the Housing Authority the
Secretary of the Authority was designated to be the Executive
Director of the Authority; and
WHEREAS, in Resolution Number 5 of the Housing Authority the
Authority appointed the city staff person assigned to the
Authority to serve as Secretary in a temporary capacity; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the needs of the
Authority can be better served by dividing the Office of
Secretary into two offices with the City Manager serving as
Executive Director and the City Clerk serving as Secretary of the
Housing Authority,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager shall be the Executive Director
of the Authority and, as Executive Director, shall have general
supervision over the administration of its business and affairs,

subject to the direction of the Authority. He shall be charged
with the management of the housing projects of the Authority.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall be the Secretary of the
Housing Authority. The Secretary shall keep the records of the
Authority, shall act as secretary of the meetings of the
Authority and record all votes, and shall keep a record of the
proceedings of the Authority in a journal of proceedings to be
kept for such purposes, and shall perform all duties incident to
this office.
SECTION 3.
The Secretary of the Housing Authority shall
certify to the adoption of this ReSOlution, and thenceforth and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

meeting thereof held on the 12th day of July, 1988, by the
