RESOLUTION NO, 306 (R.A.S.)
A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ~ONICA, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING CONDE~rnATION OF CERTAIN PARCELS
OF REAL PROPERTY IN THE PACIFIC OCEAN PARK
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT.
BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF TlliCITY OF
SANTA MONICA, DOES HEREBY FIND AND DETE~~INE:
1. That the public interest and necessity require the
acquisition by the Redevelopment Agency of tlE City of Santa Nonica,
California the fee simple title in and to the property hereinafter
described for a public use, namely, for the purpose of redeveloping the
area known as the Pacific Ocean Park Redevelopment Project, adopted by
this Agency on June 15, 1971, by Resolution No. 303 (R.A.S.), and
approved by the City Council of the City of Santa Monica on July 13, 1971,
by Ordinance No. 874 (C.C.S.);
2. That the hereinafter described property is necessary for
. such public use;
3. That such proposed public improvement and use is located
in a manner which is most compatible with the greatest public good and
the least private injury.
BE IT FL~THER RESOLVED that Eugene B. Jacobs, attorney for said
Agency, and Gary G. Jones, the Executive Director of said Agency, be, and
they hereby are authorized and directed to institute eminent domain
proceedings in the Superior Court of the State of California in and for
the County of Los Angeles for the purpose of acquiring the fee simple title
in and to said following described property for said public use.
That said real properties are located within the boundaries of
the Pacific Ocean Park Redevelopment Project, and in the City of Santa
.~onica, County of Los Angeles, State of California, and are more particularly
described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto, incorporated herein and
by this reference made a part hereof.

IT IS Fl~THER RESOLVED by said Agency that the attorney for
said Agency and its Executive Director be and hereby are authorized to
incur, on behalf of said Agency, all necessary expenses for the preparation
and trial of the action, including, but not limited to:

extent that the Executive Director and the attorney deem necessary;

Employment of appraisers and independent counsel to the
b. Preparation of maps, charts, diagrams, photographs,
printing of summons and complaint in the event such printing is necessary,
and all necessary items for the use in trial;
c. To incur such additional expenses on behalf of said Agency
as in the judgment of the attorney for said Agency shall be necessary to
the trial of said proceeding.
4. The Chairman shall execute this Resolution on behalf of
said Agency and the Executive Director of said Agency shall certify to
the adoption thereof and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.

Resolution was duly adopted by said Agency at a Special Meeting thereof
