RESOLUTION NO. 17 (HAS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
SECTION 8 HODSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS PROGRAM
ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT NO. SF 520 IN-
CLUDING PROJECT NUMBER CA 16-Elll-008, AND IN
SUPPORT OF THE RENTAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM
NOS. CA16-Elll-009, AND CA16-Vlll-00l, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE DEPOSIT OF MONIES PURSUANT
TO A GENERAL DEPOSITORY AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the HODS ING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA (hereI n ca lIed the "PublIC Hous 1 ng Agency") proposes to
enter Into a SectIon 8 HOUSIng AssIstance Payments Program Master
SectIon 8 Annual ContrIbutIons Contract (herein called the "Con-
tract") WI th the Uni ted States of Amer Ica (here 1 n called the
"Government") ~ and
WHEREAS, the PublIC Housing Agency proposes to provIde
for the deposIt of monIes pursuant to a General DeposItory Agree-
ment wIth a fInanCIal InstItutIon WhIch IS a member of the
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (hereIn called the "Bank"),
all wIth respect to any "ProJect" as defined in the Contract, and
WhICh at any tIme, now or hereafter, IS Incorporated under the
terms of such Contract,
NOW, THEREFORE THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The proposed Contract, desIgnated "SectIon
8 HOUSIng AssIstance Payments Program Master Section 8 Annual
ContrIbutIons Contract", pursuant to the UnIted States HOUSIng

Act of 1937, as amended, conSIstIng of Three Parts, IS hereby
approved and accepted both as to form and substance, and the
ChaIrperson IS hereby authorIzed and dIrected to execute saId
Contract In three counterparts on behalf of the PublIC HOUSIng
Agency and to forward such executed counterparts to the Govern-
ment, together WIth such other documents eVIdenCIng the approval
and authorIzIng the executIon thereof as may be reqUIred by the
Government.
SECTION 2.
SECURITY PACIFIC NATIONAL BANK and the
PublIC Housing Agency have prevIously entered Into a General
DeposItary Agreement, Form HUD-S1999A dated February 10, 1976,
whIch provIdes for the depOSIt of speCIfIed monies of "one or
more addItIonal low rent hOUSIng proJects...." The PublIC Hous-
ing Agency hereby determInes that pursuant to the terms of the
Agreement the aforenamed Bank shall be the Deposl tary for the
Sect i on 8 Hous Ing Ass 1 stance Payments Program establIshed under
the Contract hereInabove approved.
SECTION 3. The ChaIrperson, VIce-ChaIrperson or Secre-
tary IS hereby authorized and dIrected to fIle WIth the Govern-
ment from tIme to tIme as payments are reqUIred, reqUISItions
together WIth the necessary supportIng documents requesting peri-
OdIC payments to be made on account of the Annual ContrIbutions
Contract, and the proper offIcers of the PublIC HOUSIng Agency
shall prepare, execute and delIver to the Government saId
requls 1 t Ions In a form prescr Ibed by the Government and shall
accept payment therefor from the Government and such persons are
authorIzed to do and perform all other thIngs and acts reqUIred

to be done or performed 1n order to obtaIn such payments, Wh1Ch
shall be deposIted and d1sbursed only In accordance w1th the pro-
v1s1ons of the Annual Contr1but1ons Contract.
SECTION 4. The Secretary shall cert1fy to the adoptIon
of thIS ResolutIon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be In full force and effect.
