RESOLUTION NO. 227
(Parking Authority Series)
A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AU'.L'uORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING ITS BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1996-97
WHEREAS, the proposed budget for the fiscal year 1996-97 was
submitted to the Parking Authority thirty-five (35) days prior to July
1, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the Parking Authority held a public hearing on said
budget after a not~ce of said budget hearing was published not less
than ten (10) days prior thereto; and
WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the Parking Authority
considered further its proposed budget,
NOW THEREFORE, THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The budget as submitted by the Executive Director
and revised by the ParkJ.ng Authority, entitled "City of Santa Monica,
Proposed Budget, 1996-97" (Budget), is hereby approved and adopted.
In adopting the Budget, the Parking Authority intends to, and by this
Section does, adopt and approve the total operating appropriation,
consisting of SalarJ.es and Wages, Supplies and Expenses, and Capital
Outlay maj or expenditure categories, each program category of the
Capi tal Improvements budget, and the revenue detail.

D1rector 16 authorized to allot as approprlated. A copy of the Budget
is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2 .
A certified copy of the Budget shall be filed
with the Dlrector of Finance/City Controller and with the City Clerk,
and certlfled copies of the Budget shall be reproduced and made
avallable for use as directed by Section 1505 of the Charter of said
City.
SECTION
3 .
In adopting the Budget, the Parking Authority
does hereby reappropriate the unencumbered balances and unexpended
encumbrances of the 1995-96 Capital Improvements budget in an amount
not to exceed $43,600.
SECTION 4 .
The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
thlS Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
