(HOUSING AUTHORITY SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION
FOR 85 FREE STANDING CERTIFICATES AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SIGN SAID APPLICATION AND TO
EXECUTE THE ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION CONTRACT IF THE
APPLICATION IS APPROVED
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development
is currently accepting applications from Public Housing agencies
for section 8 Existing Housing Certificates, and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Housing Authority
proposes to apply for a total of 85 additional Section a Existing
Housing Certificates which 1S justified by the application waiting
list and is consistent with the Comprehensive Housing Affordability
Strategy (CRAS), for our area of operation,
NOW THEREFORE, THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Executive Director is authorized to
submit an application on behalf of the city of Santa Monica Housing
Authority and is authorized to sign said application and to execute
the annual contribution contract if the application is approved for
additional Section 8 Existing Housing Certificates.
SECTION 2. The secretary shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
