A RESOLUTION OF THE SANTA 1\fONICA REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY, CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING
THE SUBMISSION OF PROPOSED STATE\1ENTS OF EXISTING
OBLIGATIONS AND STATEMENT OF EXISTING PROGRAMS FOR
THE SANTA MONICA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS ADOPTED
BEFORE 1977, TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AND THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT; AND AUTHORIZING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
SUCH STATEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, prior to January 1,
1977, adopted the Redevelopment Plans for the Ocean Park Project No. 1(a), Ocean
Park Project No. l(b) and the Downtown Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Monica Redevelopment Agency, City of Santa Monica (the
"Agency") is engaged in activities necessary and appropriate to carry out such
Redevelopment Plans; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33334.6 of the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) the Agency shall
deposit into the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund for each such Redevelopment
Project in Fiscal Year 1985-86 and each Fiscal Year thereafter, not less than twenty
percent (20%) of the tax increment funds allocated to the Agency for each such
Project in the applicable Fiscal Year, except as necessary to pay for existing
obligations and/or existing projects, programs, or activities pertaining to the
respective project; and
WHEREAS, the Agency pursuant to subdivision (f) of Section 33334.6 of the
Community Redevelopment Law has prepared proposed Statements of Existing
OblIgations and a proposed Statement of Existing Programs (collectively the
"Statementsfl) for each such Redevelopment Project, as appropriate; and
WHEREAS, the Agency shall hold a pUblic hearing to consider such proposed
Statements prior to adoption thereof by resolution; and
WHEREAS, such proposed Statements shall be submitted to the City CounCIl of
the City of Santa ~onica and the California Department of Housing and Com munity
Development prior to giving notice of the pUblic hearing thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE SANTA MONICA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, CITY
OF SANTA ~ONICA, CALIFORNIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Executive Director, or his designee, is hereby authorized and dIrected
to submit the proposed Statements of Existing Obligations and Statement of Existing
Programs for Ocean Park Project No. 1{a), Ocean Park Project No. l(b) and the
Downtown Redevelopment Project to the CIty Council of the City of Santa Monica and
the Department of Housing and Community Development.

2. The Agency hereby authorizes a public hearing on the proposed Statements
of Existing Obligations and Statement of Existing Programs for sueh Redevelopment
Projeets and hereby further authorizes the Exeeutive Direetor (or his designee) to
establish the date, time and place therefor.
3. The Executive Director, or hIS designee, shall publish and mail notice of
pUblic hearing on the proposed Statements of Existing Obligations and Statement of
Existmg Programs for such Redevelopment Projects, in the manner required and
established by law.
4. The Secretary of the Agency shall certify the adoption of thIS Resolution,
and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
