RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGFNCY OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE SETTING
OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE
PROPOSED DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY IN THE
OCEAN PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT l(b) TO
UNITED STATES CONDOMINIUM CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, in furtherance of the obJectives of the Communlty
Redevelopment Law, the Agency is engaged in carrying out the Ocean
Park Redevelopment ProJect l(b) (referred to herel.n as the "ProJect");
and,
WHEREAS, there has been prepared and approved by the Agency
an Urban Renewal Plan for the ProJect, consisting of a Redevelopment
Plan for Ocean Park RedevelopMent ProJect l(b) adopted January 17, 1961,
by Ordl.nance No. Sl6 of the City, as amended January 26, 1965, by
Ordinance No. 667 of the C1ty, and September l2, 1972, by Ordlnance
No. 896 of the Clty; as it may be mod1fied or amended ln accordance
w1th the provisions of the Communl.ty Redevelopment Law; and,
l~EREAS, the Agency certified an Environmental I~pact Report
for the ProJect on July l3, 1976, by Resolutlon No. 334 (R.A.S.) of
the Agency; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency proposes to enter into a D1Sposltion and
Development Agreement with the Unlted States Condominium Corporation
for the sale of certaln land within the Project (generally, the area
bounded by Nellson Way, Barnard Way, Ocean Park Boulevard, and the

southerly City boundary of Santa Monlca, more fully described in the
proposed Agreement), and the development of said land (herelnafter,
the "Property") for uses in accordance wlth the Redevelopment Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Callforn1a Redevelopment Law (Sectlon 3343l)
requlres that a public hearing be held prlor to the sale of any proJect
land.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. A publlC hearing of the Redevelop~ent Agency of
the Clty of Santa Monica lS set for June 24, 1980, at 7:00 p.~., to
be held JOlntly wlth the publ1C hearlng of the C1ty Council of the
Cl ty of Santa f/[onica.
SECTION 2. The Agency shall conslder the proposed
dlSposltion of real property in the Ocean Park Redevelop~ent ProJect
l(b) to the Unlted States Condominlum Corporation.
SECTION 3. The Secretary of the Agency shall cause notlce
of th1S hearlng to be publlshed ln the Evenlng Outlook, a newspaper of
general clrculation, on the 10th day of June 1980, and on the l7th day
of June 1980, for the purpose of glving lnterested persons an opportunlty
to be heard on the matter to be consldered.
SECTION 4. The Secretary shall certify to the adoptlon of
thlS resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
