GANN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR
FiSCAL YEAR 2000-01
WHEREAS, the City Council is required under the provisions of Government

appropriations limit by resolution;
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Gann Appropriations limit for fiscal year
2000-01 has been revised to substitute the "Non-Residential Assessed Valuation Change"
adjustment factor for the "California Per Capita Personal Income Change" adjustment

WHEREAS, documentation used in the detennination ofthe appropriations limit
has been available to the public for fifteen days prior to this meeting as required by
Government Code Section 7910.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOllOWS;

SECTION 1. For purposes of Article XIIIB of the California Constitution, the City
of Santa Monica appropriations limit for the fiscal year 2000-01 shall be $282,579,801.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
