RESOLUTION NO. 9609 (CCS)

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH
THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
("MT A")
FOR THE RECEIPT OF GRANT FUNDS FOR CROSSWALK ENAHNCEMENTS TO
TRANSIT CORRIDORS AND OTHER LOCATIONS APPROVED IN MT A'S 2000 CALL
FOR PROJECTS PROCESS
WHEREAS, The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, has approved
the City of Santa Monica's grant application for one time appropriation of Grant Funding as part
ofMTA's 2000 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) abbreviated Call for Projects;
and
WHEREAS, the MT A conditions the use of said monies in accordance with their policies;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The City Council ofthe City of Santa Monica hereby authorizes the City
Manager to execute a Letter of Agreement with the MT A for the receipt of Grant Funding for
Crosswalk Enhancements to Transit Corridors and Other Locations.
SECTION 2. The City shall forward a certified copy ofthis resolution to the MTA, for
processmg.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption ofthis Resolution, and thenceforth
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
