A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF
AN APPliCATiON FOR A CLEAN BEACHES, PROPOSiTiON 13, NONPOiNT
SOURCE PROGRAM GRANT FROM THE STATE WATER RESOURCES
CONTROL BOARD
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to submit, for and
on behalf of the City of Santa Monica, an application for a Clean Beaches, Proposition 13,
Coastal Nonpoint Source Program grant from the State Water Resources Control Board
in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00 for the design and implementation of the Santa
Monica Pier Urban Runoff Mitigation Project.
SECTION 2. The City Manageror his or her designee is hereby authorized to certify
that the City has and will comply with all applicable state statutory and regulatory
requirements related to any state grants received.

SECTION 3. The City Manager or his or her designee is hereby authorized to
negotiate and execute a grant contract and any amendments, and to certify grant invoices
on behalf of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
