Executive Summ ary At its meeting on June 28, 2016, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance amending the City's Zoning Ordinance (Divisions 1 -5 of Article 9 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code) by making minor clarifications regarding the applicabilit y of active commercial design and active commercial use requirements in mixed -use and commercial districts (Section 9.11.030 and Table 9.11.030), requirements for enclosed garages in the R -1 Zone (Table 9.07.030), requirements for front setbacks in the OP3 Zone (Table 9.09.030) and requirements for maximum first story street wall height in the OF Z one.
