sr-012682-8aCA:RMM:r City Council Meeting 1-26-82 STAFF REPORT TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: City Attorney © ~ ~~r i9 SUBJECT: Ordinance Establishing Procedures for the Processing of Development Agreements The City Council, City Manager and Planning Director have received a number of requests to enter into development agreements. The accompanying ordinance establishes proce- dures for the processing of development agreements so that all interested parties are apprised of the guidelines. The proposed ordinance adds Chapter 8 to Article 9 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code. The ordinance contains provisions relating to the application, processing, approval, amendment, modification, and cancellation of development agreements. Briefly outlined, the process provides for application to and review by the Planning Director, a formal- ly noticed hearing before the Planning Commission, and a formally noticed hearing before the City Council.
