Introduction
This report concerns an award of bid to furnish and deliver various
frozen
food
items
for
the
Police
Department
Office
of
Admlnistrative Services, at specifled unit prices, plus applicable
sales tax, with two one-year renewal options.
Backqround
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published June 17
and June 18, 1996) to furnish and dellver various frozen food items
in accordance with City specifications, bids were received and
publicly opened and read on June 26, 1996. Proposal forms were
malled to six vendors and notices were advertised in accordance
wlth City Charter and Municipal Code provislons.

Fiscal Year 1996-97 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the Office of Administrative Services Division, Police
Department, account number 01-300-304-00000-4406-00000. Est:Lmated
annual expend:Lture is $30,000
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2581 be made to Blackmore
Master Distributor at specified un:Lt prices, plus applicable sales
tax, with two one-year renewal options, as the lowest and most
responsible bidder.
